Program ends November 30
As previously communicated, the IT'S YOUR POWER app extension ends November 30, 2020. After this date, the mobile app will be discontinued and devices controlled through the application will lose functionality. There are still options to stay connected.
What options do I have to view my energy usage?
  • Continue to view your energy usage data through the AEP Ohio Energy Dashboard. To see your data, simply log into your account at AEPOhio.com/Account.
  • High level usage data is also available in the AEP Ohio mobile app. Learn more at AEPOhio.com/App.
How can I control my smart devices?
Though you will no longer be able to control your smart devices through IT'S YOUR POWER, most devices are compatible with other smart home control systems. Find your device below to learn what systems are compatible with it.

Powerley connected thermostat
The Powerley connected thermostat is not currently compatible with other smart home systems. Once the app is discontinued, scheduling and remote control features will not be available. You will be able to adjust the mode and temperature setpoint using the buttons on the face of the device.

Q: Why is the IT'S YOUR POWER app being discontinued?
A: IT'S YOUR POWER was funded under AEP Ohio's energy efficiency portfolio which has ended. AEP Ohio has not recieved regulatory approval to continue this service.

Q: Do I need to return the Energy Bridge?
A: No, you are not required to return the device, however we encourage you to responsibly recycle the Energy Bridge. Please contact IT’S YOUR POWER support at YourPowerHelp@AEP.com or 877-427-0626 for assistance identifying recycling options.

Q: Once the program ends, can I use the Powerley thermostat in my home?
A: Yes, you can continue to use the thermostat, however the scheduling and remote control features will not be available. You will be able to manually adjust your thermostat mode and temperature setting using the buttons on the face of the thermostat.

Q: I do not see my connected device in the list above, am I still able to use the device?
A: Many smart home devices can be controlled by their manufacturer applications. There are also universal smart home hubs that may also be used. Please check the device manufacturer's website for compatible applications or products.
